Yorkshire Tea: February 4th – Initial Direction

Before I start my placement at Analogue, me and Ant got together to come up with some initial ideas for the direction we wanted to take the Yorkshire tea in.

The first call of action was creating a more aesthetically pleasing logo.  It's the first thing we called out, and as a starting point is a great place to get a general idea for what the rest of the box looks like.

What we disliked about the original was the lines around both the text, and the white box. Although, the box it's self is nice, we wanted to strip it back to concentrate it and then apply elements that we thought created a look which was more modern, yet still applied to a wider audience.

We both loved, this image below. It was quintessentially Yorkshire. Yet, the logo overlaid really sealed the deal, instead of illustration, photography seems like the route we need to go.

As a quick mock-up, I put the image onto a box just to get an idea of how It might look.
